Brian built Nature Roots Cottage in 1990, next to his family home. It is nested in the heart of Belmont, Westmoreland, a small village of fishermen and farmers on the South Coast of the Island.

Birth and resting place of our legendary Peter Tosh, Belmont is a peaceful and friendly community away from the tourist resorts. Still unspoiled by the Tourist industry and "progress", the village lays on Bluefields Hills, facing the Caribbean sea. With its beautiful small sand beaches, translucent warm waters all year around, its green hills covered with exotic vegetation and fruits, and its average yearly temperature of 28 C., Belmont is an exclusive haven in the heart of the Rasta Culture.

Jamaica is a small island and it's easy to move around. Belmont is a perfect base for your stay, only one hour drive or less from Montego Bay, Negril, Treasure Beach, YS Falls, Mayfields Falls, Roaring River, Sugar Cane plantations and Appelton Rum Factory. It's also very easy to reach all Major Top Reggae Shows from here, like the Christmas Extravaganza Show, Tony Rebel Salute Show and the Western Consciousness Show, and many more.
